What goes better with Thanksgiving than football and family? We are so proud of our football star! Logan's team rocked this year as the undefeated season champions. Logan spurred his team on to some big wins by pulling lots of flags and running the ball to several touchdowns. Way to go Rattlers!

The final countdown is on . . .

36 weeks and counting! Yes. I finally decided to post some preggo pics of myself for posterity's sake. We are super excited around here for the baby brother to come join our family. And I am getting more than ready for him to come too. : ) We've been busily putting the nursery together, washing all the baby clothes, crib, carseat, etc., and moving bedrooms around to fit this little guy. We have been in a pretty big mess, but are finally about done with all of the reorganizing and are ready for the baby to come. I'm a little nervous about starting over in the baby stage since life has been pretty easy for the last while, but also so happy to finally get to snuggle with this little wiggly guy who has been keeping me up at night. Wish us luck!

Logan's Baptism Day!

My handsome boy turned 8 on October 8th and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the next week, on October 16. It was a very special day for Logan and our family. Mike baptized and confirmed Logan. I felt the spirit testify that Logan was following his Savior's example and that his Heavenly Father loves him. My Mom, Dad and Sharon, and Mike's sister, Rina, and her boyfriend, Tony all came to share in Logan's big day. We also had many of our close friends there including the Barlows, Bonnallies, Whites, and Nielsons. It was so neat to see the circle of our friends and family who hold and honor their priesthood place their hands on Logan's head to confirm him a member of our church. I am so grateful for my testimony of the gospel, for my loving friends and family, for my Savior, and especially for Logan and sharing this beautiful day with him.

Logan was so happy that his grandparents and Aunt Rina could come for his big day! He also had many of his friends there to celebrate with him.

We also had a really fun weekend with my parents and Rina in town. We went to dinner at the Gristmill in Gruene, which had such a fun ambiance in this little Texas town. We also took the kids swimming at my dad's condo, took everyone to a Texas must--Rudy's BBQ for lunch the next day, and everyone got to come cheer Logan on in his football game after his baptism. Thanks for coming to share in such a fun and special weekend with our family!

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan turned the big #8 this year! This was a special birthday because not only did he get to celebrate with his friends, but he also chose to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. (more to come on his baptism later)



On Logan's actual birthday, we had our good friends the Barlows and the Jensons over for games and cake and ice cream. I even attempted my Grandma Warnick's yummy homemade chocolate cake for the occasion and it turned out super yummy. It reminded me of Grandma, and made the night memorable for me and hopefully for Logan as well. Then, the next day Logan got to take his 2 best buds mini golfing and out for ice cream. He had a guys day out with his dad and best buds--lots of fun for him and super simple party for me. : )

Makayla's Fall Choir Concert

Makayla is loving middle school! Yes. You heard me right. She is really enjoying Jr. high. I don't know how many of us could say we loved those years, but right now she has lots of friends and really enjoying her classes. Her favorite class is choir! She thinks her teacher, Mrs. C is awesome and has really taken off with her singing. She tried out and was picked to sing a solo for her Fall Concert. She sounded beautiful and really surprised Mike and I how well she can sing. Watch out world--a super star is born! : )

Bike Rodeo Champions

We had the annual Bike Rodeo at school again this fall. After practicing several evenings in our cul-de-sac and trying a dry run at the school's course, we felt adequately ready for the big day. Logan was an old pro at the course and was got a trophy for 6th place in his grade. Woo hoo Logan! Savannah was a champion for actually going through with the bike rodeo. She was super excited for the bike rodeo all week and then the night before the big event, declared that she "was NOT doing the bike rodeo!!!" Maybe that was her over achieving parents' fault for coaching her a little too much on the course . . . : ) But when the big day arrived, Savannah was ready to go and had a great time!



Some of the events were riding in between the lines in the circle and going as slow as possible through the straight line course.
