Bike Rodeo Champion

Logan displayed exceptional bike riding skills at the Bike Rodeo

at his school again this year.  He came away with a trophy for

6th place and bonus points from officer K for passing the bike

safety inspection.  Luke donned his biker jacket for the occasion

and cheered his big brother on. 

6th place for 3rd grade!  Lame mom didn't get a

picture of the trophy, so the ribbon will have to do.

Logan's 3rd grade class all cheered him on too.  He loves Mrs. M

this year.  She is a super fun teacher and always makes learning

exciting.  Makayla also had her in 3rd grade, which we were extra

happy that Logan got her too. : )

Bike obstacle course training for the big event.  These two little

passengers thought it was too funny that Logan was pulling them

around.

Eventually, the bike train became longer and longer.  How many

wheeled vehicles can you pull behind a bike??!

We're in trouble now folks . . .

 

Baby Luke is TROUBLE!  And he

would be in some serious trouble with his mommy if it

wasn't for the fact that he is so dang cute! : ) He is

like a little firecracker exploding everything in his path.

He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything. 

He is exploring, doing, creating, going and wanting to be

as big as his big brother and sisters.  What happened

to my cute little baby that would sit quietly on a 

quilt and happily play with a few toys? 

Whew!  I'm tired!  I think I need a nap. 

10 months old

The music bus has been Luke's favorite toy since he started

pulling up and cruising around the furniture--around 9 months. 

This cool mode of transportation takes him all over the house

like a little old man with his walker.  And the best part is,

when he gets tired, he just hops on and hitches a lift from

Savannah or Logan.

New trick at 11 months--Climbing!

Don't get me started on the messes!

Luke's got a mouth full of little chompers--8 pearly whites

and counting.

Down, set, hike!  Luke's method of crawling in the

grass so he doesn't have to touch the ground as much.

He also puts up with being dragged around a lot by his big sis!

Look close and you can see Savannah's patch.  She was

diagnosed with amblioplia, so she wears a patch after

school every day for 2-4 hours.  This way, we can retrain

her weaker eye to see better.

Leisure suit Sunday.

Luke loves his bottle.  It has been fun having a bottle baby,

since my other baby's only wanted to nurse.  In the morning,

he likes to snuggle up with his blanky and watch Dora.  He also

LOVES going on walks in the stroller.



Luke also loves music and especially watching Baby Mozart!

10 months old.  I had to include pumpkin boy. 

It's our family tradition since Makayla was about

Luke's age, to take a picture with pumpkin boy and

see how much they grow each year.

Region Choir and Fall Concert

    

Makayla is loving singing in choir at school again this year.  She decided that she wanted to try out for Region choir this fall, so she went to extra practices before and after school for two months and then auditioned to see if she would make the cut for Region.  Only a handful of girls from each middle school in our region made it, and Makayla made the choir and was ranked 3rd chair.  She worked really hard to perform in this special choir and I was really happy for her that she made it.  Makayla was also really excited that one of her best friends, Ashley, from a different school made it too.

Makayla has also performed with her choir at school in the Fall and Christmas concerts.  She tried out and was picked to sing solo's at both concerts.  In the Fall concert, Makayla's sang a solo in a combined number with the boys' choir, "Life is a Highway." I couldn't believe how beautiful and clear her voice sounded!  Makayla has really taken off with her singing and just keeps getting better and better!

Go Lions!

Yea for Fall Football!  Logan had another fabulous football season.  He played the defensive line this season, which was a change to not be running the ball as much.  But Logan rocked it at defense--not letting anyone get through the line, and capturing lots and lots of flags.  We love playing with our fun team that we have played with since the boys were Little Kickers in soccer at age 4.  And it always makes it that much more fun to play with Logan's best bud, Cameron.  We are a little sad that this might be our last season to play football with our team, since they are moving to tackle and I'm not sure we want to risk Logan getting beat up on the football field.  He is loving playing basketball right now though, and that might just become his "sport."  He also is missing playing basketball with Cameron this season because of the age cutoff.  Hopefully the boys will get to play another season together sometime. . .

score 1 touchdown of the season.

Soccer Star!

Who would have thought that our little Savannah would tear it up on the soccer field??!  Savannah played soccer for the first time this fall and LOVED it.  She started off a little shy and worried about getting into the game, but once Savannah figured out how to get after the ball, she just took off and zipped all over that soccer field.  The best part of it was she got to play with her best buddy Brooklyn, and their team got to verse their other best bud Haley's team.  Super fun season!

game instead of be out there playing.

Luke also thought that soccer was pretty fun!  He decided that

he was big enough to be out there playing too.
