Candy!!! Even Luke couldn't contain his joy in seeing all

the candy spread all over the family room.  He immediately

helped himself to a sucker--always just like the big kids.

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan turned 9 this year!  I can't believe he's really that BIG already!  I remember when he was the size of his little "mini me."  Now Logan has grown into such a smart, responsible, caring big brother, and fun loving boy!  Love you buddy!

Logan celebrated his birthday in the morning with a donut cake (loved making that cake!) and he had a "P" Party -- Pizza, Popcorn, and PJ's with his friends.  Mike was even kind enough to entertain the boys with a treasure scavenger hunt to get the party going.  We made spider oreos, had pizza and cake and watched a movie.  Super fun day for a super awesome boy! : )

Howl-O-Scream!

My favorite time of year to go to Sea World is during October for their haunted Howl-O-Scream!  We look forward to the spooky creatures, ghouls, and werewolves lurking in corners ready to pop out at us at any given moment.  (Well maybe Mike and I look forward to the spooky part more than the kids do : )  They always love to watch Shamu's Rockin' Creep Show.  And something new this year that we all loved was The S.O.S maze.  It had really cool effects!  One part looked like we were really walking the plank.  Also, we felt like we were trying to cross a bridge that seemed to be swinging back and forth, although we were really just walking through a tunnel that was spinning.  And the best part is we got to go with our good friends the Barlows and the Jensons.  (Thanks for the cute pictures, btw. : )

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

We busted it to the beach for one last summer hurrah over Labor Day weekend.  We had so much fun spending time together as a family, and the rest and relaxation was so needed! 

It was also fun to watch Luke explore playing in the sand.  This was his first beach trip that he was able to sit up and play in the water. . . and he LOVED it!  Having Luke be happy playing at the beach made the trip so much more enjoyable for me.
