Murder Mystery Valentine's Date

It has become somewhat of a tradition with our friends in Texas to have a How to Host a Murder party for Valentine's Day. It's always so much fun to dress up in character and have a date night filled with friends, fun and without kids!
Greg, Angie, Mike, Susie, Kristin, Jared, Jalinda, & Mike
AKA: Rogan S. Coundrell, Gwendlyn O. Veere, Lance Sallot, Damselyne D' Istresse, Evonne B. N. Aires, Lonsford Glost Aires, Misty C. Loudbanks, & Spinner P. Roppwash
The boys grilling up our yummy dinner. I think we surprised ourselves at how good it all turned out.

After dinner, we spent the evening trying to uncover the murders of Lofty Aires and Drafty Aires, Dukes of Airesborne.

Thank you, Mike and Susie for making our Valentine's day one to remember!

You Can't Have Valentine's Day Without Pink Cupcakes.

We could do without the sickness, though! Poor Logan can't breath because of his asthma when he gets sick. My poor kids. Someone has been sick every week this month. (Poor me.) I can safely say we are ready for Spring with more sun, less germs, and more happy, healthy kids!

Let's Rodeo!

Hat. Check. Boots. Check. Ready to Rodeo!
We had a blast at the Stock Show and Rodeo a couple weekends ago. Our kids LOVED all the rides and rodeoen, and not to mention their healthy dinner of dollar night cotton candy, popcorn and hot dogs. When we hit the Rodeo, we do more of the Stock Show and less of the Rodeo, so our poor kids miss out on the real rodeo. They think this is it and at this point that works for us. I do miss watching the barrel races and bull rides. Maybe next year . . .
We met up with our friends the Millers and the Gordons at the rodeo. That made it that much more fun for our kids because everyone had a buddy to ride the rides with. They all thought they were pretty hot stuff riding the "scary" rides this year.

Kristin and I got to take the little girls on the Caterpillar Roller coaster and the Carousel while the big kids hit the bumper cars.

Best Buds: Holden and Logan
BFF: Lauren and Makayla

Sunday Dinner--Fear Factor Style!!!

This is what happens when Mike and the kids are home all day long with nothing to do. Doesn't it make you want to move to Texas and find these in your garden?

What do you do on a Saturday?

Get a little tree trimming happy for the brush collection?

or . . . put in a new basketball hoop for your future basketball star?

. . .or both. Check out the dribbling on that little girl in the background. : )
This is how we've spent the last few Saturdays at our house in between basketball games.

How do you ice skate with 3 year olds?

You need Dad to take you for a spin on an orange cone.
You may also use Dad for stabilization.
You take plenty of hot cocoa breaks.
(Thanks to Uncle Brandon's sweet Cocoa Latte machine! : )
You breath a sigh of relief that the 6 year olds and 9 year old can skate by themselves. (After a few wipe outs and tears.)
You pose to show off your "toe pick" skills.
You smile as you realize why these moments are worth it.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Three Happy Kids on Christmas Morning!

Cute Warnick cousins: Savannah, Makayla, Brooklyn, Logan, Emmy, Ryder & Brynnley
We spent Christmas Day at my mom's for lunch and with Mike's family for dinner that evening. Lots of family fun!
Lots of little girls = lots of barbies!
(I had to include this shot for the 2 dorks in the background. : )
Grandma and her girls
Where's Logan and Brynn? We lost them under all the mess! Cutest cousins ever!
I love my sisters!

We love you, Mom! We missed James and Lisa on Christmas, but got to enjoy lunch with them, Mom, and Grandma and Grandpa at Olive Garden.

We had such a nice evening with Mike's family filled with yummy food and family games.

Dan, Makayla, Darrin, Anne Marie, James, John, and Logan
Makayla and Logan had a blast playing games with their cousins. Then, after games was of course the annual dart gun shoot out. Logan was in heaven playing with all his big cousins.

The big "boys" had as much fun as the kids.
I hope y'all had a very Merry Christmas too!
