Happy Birthday Jimmer . . . er Jimmy!

Happy Birthday Little Brother! Sheesh. I'm on a roll. Two Happy Birthday wishes in a row. I must really be missing my fam! Hope you had a super day today, Jimmy. We had so much fun when you and Lisa were here last month. We can't wait to see you this summer and then we can party it up for your b-day.

I'm realizing that James and I take even fewer pictures together than Jeanette and I do, so these are not so recent. The tiny Savannah and Logan in these might have tipped you off on that one. . .

Anyway, Love ya, Jimmy!

Happy Birthday Sista!

Happy Birthday Jeanette! I'm totally missing my sister tonight, so I thought I would wish you a Happy Birthday blogstyle. I'm totally wishing we could have gone out on a girls night tonight for dinner and a shopping spree in honor of you, but this post will have to do. I think I'm going through withdrawals because I haven't been home to see everyone in almost a year and I'm missing my family. It also occured to me that Jeanette and I don't take that many cute pictures together. Hmmm . . . so I had to go back a couple of years to find these sweet pics. (It's my way of easing you into that BIG #34 birthday. Ha ha! : )

Now, I am not making this a habit to wish everyone of my friends and family a happy B-day on my blog or else with my baby brain lately I would surely miss someone and can you think how many birthdays that would be? Too much committment in that . . . so feel lucky my sister. You are someone special today and I LOVE YOU lots!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

We were thinkin' green this St. Patrick's Day! We started the day off with Green Eggs and Ham (minus the ham), and then met our friends for lunch at one of our favorite burger joints, Smashburger! As we walked in, Logan got a few laughs with his silly green Afro. (The wig seemed to fit him--maybe he should grow his hair out into a fro all year long . . . : ) The kids had fun playing with all their green gear, which gave us time to visit, making it a perfect lunch out with our friends for St. Patty's Day!

Spring Break!

We have LOVED being out of school this week for Spring Break!!! It is going to be a rough morning tomorrow to try to get up for school. I'm ready for summer with lazy days spent with the kids. We had so much fun this week, even if we didn't plan a big trip. The kids were super motivated on Monday and we got all our chores done so we could play the rest of the week. Our reward--Orange Leaf. Yum! We had birthday parties, play dates, shopping trips and lunches out. Our highlights of the week with friends was a trip to the zoo and lunch at Smashburger! Actually, the dinner at Chris Madrids may have made up for the fact that the zoo was crazy-busy, but once we got away from some of the crowds, we had a super fun time. Can Spring Break last one more week, please??!

Springtime is in the air . . .

We are sooooooooooo ready for Spring! Bring on the warm weather and beautiful blue skies! We've enjoyed playing and working out in our yard the past couple of weeks. Even Luke has started to like being outside (as long as it isn't too windy.) To ease the leaf raking process this year, Mike invented a leaf-bagging contraption to help us bag our 28+ bags of leaves, which the city refused to come pick up because they weren't bagged in paper bags (what the??--have you ever heard of bagging leaves in paper bags?) So after Mike hauled our massive pile of bags of leaves to the dump, our yard is beginning to look ship-shape for Spring. Next on the list: planting flowers and herbs.

Makayla's best trucker impression. Truckers represent Spring, right? Makayla just really wanted me to post this hilarious picture. I think we may have an actor in our midst.

Tummy Time

Basketball Superstar!

Basketball season came to an end, and we are now starting soccer this week. It seemed like basketball was over almost as soon as it began--maybe because the last 3 months have been a bit of a blur with baby #4. However, Logan had a lot of fun playing b-ball and rocked the court! Good work Logan!

Let's Rodeo!

The rodeo came to town last month so we kicked up our heels in our best western gear and hit the rodeo. We always have fun seeing all the animals, eating lots of yummy junk food and riding all the rides on dollar night. Savannah was a girl after my own heart wanting to ride the scary big swings even before Makayla and Logan finally dared come with us. She loved flying through the air and giggled with me as the wind whipped our hair and Makayla's screams were heard in the distance. When Savannah wanted to go again, I offered to stay with the baby so Mike could go with her, but he flatly refused saying we were crazy to ride the swings that were so haphazardly put together by the carnifolk and we would surely go flying 50 ft. if one of the cables snapped. Such an optimist! : )

Mike and I also scored his company's box seat tickets to the rodeo for our Valentine's date (+ 1 baby.) We had so much fun watching the bucking broncos and barrel races and even Luke was captivated by all the horses and noise. Luke especially liked the music at the Train concert after the rodeo. Mike and I were excited to hear Train up so close and loved being at the concert. We were glad to know that we could still have a life even with baby in tow.
