First Haircut

Thought it was about time to cut off Luke's

mullet.  I couldn't bring myself to cut off all

his curls, though.  Next time . . .



Academic Athlete

We were very proud of our athlete this spring.  Logan and his friend Grayson were honored with the Academic Athlete Award for their age division with the highest overall GPA.  Logan also had a terrific basketball season and his team came in second in the championship tournament.  He missed playing the championship game because it was on Sunday, but I was proud of his choice to not play on Sunday.

Two Front Teeth

Savannah thought her last visit from the Tooth Fairy was twice as nice because she lost both her two front teeth at the same time!  At half time at her brother's basketball game, Savannah was dribbling the ball and must have given that ball an extra hard bounce because it came back and smacked her right in the mouth, knocking out both her top front teeth.  Her one front tooth was hanging by a thread, but the other one wasn't very loose yet.  Good thing that ball came along and helped those teeth out.  Savannah won't let anyone touch her loose teeth until they just fall out on their own, which sometimes takes a while of not eating and tooth trauma before they come out.  This time it was quick, and now she has a pretty new smile! : )

XLR8

Makayla has been having so much fun this year dancing in the performance group, XLR8, with her dance studio.  She has gotten some great performance experience and learned a lot this year.  She has performed at the Spurs, Silver Stars, and Rampage games.  XLR8 also performed for the children at the Seaton Home and St. PJ's.

any pictures because it was just a daddy daughter night.

We also had a fun Renaissance themed Blue and Gold Banquet

where we celebrated the boys accomplishments in scouts this last year,
had a yummy dinner, dressed Brother Terry in the Armor of God, and

competed in a Jousting Tournament. 

Pants-free day!

We have pants-free day for Luke quite often at our house.  He doesn't want to stop long enough to get his pants back on after I change him--hence no pants!  I'm thinking there must be something to this form of dress that I'm not privy to besides being extra cool and comfortable.  Good thing he's got stinkin' cute little legs. : )

And in exciting news . . .

Luke is walking!  Way to go little man!  He took his first steps in December, right around his first birthday.  However, he much preferred to hang on and cruise, rather than brave the big wide world all by himself.  It took him until he was about 13 months before he took off across the room.  Luckily, I had helpers home after school so I could capture his first steps on camera.  The kids were probably even more excited than I was and cheered for their little brother until he made it all the way to mommy.  What a big boy!
