Logan the Soccer Star

Logan loved playing soccer this spring. He rocked it this year playing on the bigger field and playing positions. Logan got right in the action after the ball and made quite a few goals for his team. Way to go Logan!

A happy goalie!

The next Beckham??!

The girls cheering their brothers on at an 8 AM game. Brrrrr!

Go Steelers!

Tour of The Missions and Downtown

We took mom on a scenic tour of The Missions and downtown. It was neat seeing all the culture in these old historic buildings.

Mission Concepcion

On our drive to the next mission, we passed this crazy field called Makin' Hay at the Missions. Interesting . . .

Mission San Juan

Just a drug house and some gangster hangouts we passed on the scenic tour. This is when I reach over and lock the car doors.

Then, we stopped for dinner at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants, Rosarios.

We hit some of the beautiful homes in the King William District.

And then drove down to the River walk.

Finally, we found our favorite Gelato spot, Justin's, on the river--a perfect way to end the evening.

Fun with Grandma

We had so much fun with my mom while she was visiting over Easter. We spent an afternoon exploring the Witte Museum and found some predators lurking from the Jurassic period. . .

We had a ball at the Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit! It was really cool to see all the animatronic dinosaurs moving around and roaring at us. They almost seemed real.

The tree house is our favorite part of the museum.

Special weights on this bike keep it from falling off the cable. The kids were a little freaked out to try it at first, but thought it was cool riding above the river.

Savannah, Mom and I also hit the zoo one day while the big kids were in school. Savannah loves the zoo and was in heaven showing all the animals to Grandma. She loved the one-on-one Grandma time.

Easter Weekend!

We enjoyed a beautiful Easter weekend out in the backyard. Dying eggs was a lot less messy outside and the weather was perfect for a dip in our white trash above ground pool.

A look at our Easter creations:

We also had an Easter Egg Hunt the weekend before at the church. The kids had a ball hunting eggs with their buddies.

The best part of the weekend--Grandma Jackie came to celebrate with us! The kids were super excited to have Grandma here for Easter, and it also made my birthday fun to celebrate it with my mom. A 2 for 1 holiday visit!
