Our 4th of July Baby turns 6!

Wow.  I really need to get done posting summer pics . . .

Happy Birthday to my cute little 6 year old!  This birthday was extra special for Savannah because Grandma Eileen, Grandpa Jeff, Aunt Rina, Uncle Tony, Mikelle and Austin all got to come for her birthday!  We also got to celebrate the 4th of July with them this year.  We had such a nice visit--come back soon! : )

Luke helped me make the birthday cake.

Aloha!  Savannah celebrated Luau style this year with her
best buds for her birthday!

Love that girl!

Rina and Tony's Wedding

Congratulations Rina and Tony!  We are so happy for you.
Rina and Tony were married in the Houston temple on July 2.  We were extra excited that we got to share their special wedding day with them in TEXAS!  Tony's family are all in Houston so Rina, Mike's little sister, decided to get married here.  It was so fun to get to know Tony and his two children, Mikel and Austin, better.  Tony is a great guy--good work on picking a winner, Rina! : ) And Rina--you were absolutely beautiful.  What a special day!

We were also happy to spend time with Mike's mom and dad
who came for the wedding and got to stay with us afterwards
for a nice visit.  The kids love their Grandma Eileen!

We also had a ball at their reception!  There was dinner
and dancing--and not just any dinner--Texas BBQ!.
Savannah loved the fancy drink fountain, and we loved
being there together with family.

Of course, we had to stop of Buc-ee's on the way home for a treat!

Summer Synopsis

Slowly by surely I will be back on track blogging.  Bear with my trying to play catch-up.  One of these days, I want to turn my blog into a scrapbook, and I can't just leave out the summer of 2011 because my husband was an invalid and we had a new baby now can I??  So . . .
Here we go . . .
There were fashion shows . . .

. . . and fun while doing lots of chores this summer.

And a First Tooth!  Or I should say first teeth
The bottom 2 teeth came in one after the other right at 6 months.

There were many Wii marathons, with Luke included!

There was also a trip to Guadalupe River--
make that a monumental trip!
It was Luke's first time swimming, and it was where
Mike probably did his back in kayaking up the
river with the 3 kids in tubes in tow.

Of course, there was LOTS of WATER!
Because Mike was home hurt most of the summer, we didn't do
as many BIG things like summers past, but the kids had just as
much fun swimming all the time with friends and having fun and
playing together at home.

Two certain young ladies got their first pairs of glasses.  (Not
sure if that is really an exciting event for me, but it was for them!)

It was also Logan's first time at Scout Camp and Makayla's first
time at Girls Camp!
That makes a lot of FIRSTS this summer!

Including our first Chic-Fil-A extravaganza night!
It was a princess and pirate night filled with faces and
fingers painted, games, food, and friends.

And don't forget a very HOT trip, but very fun trip to the zoo!
