Before the
night-o-candy could begin (we counted down all day long), we got together with our good friends, the Bonnallies and several other neighbors for dinner. Even with all the
yummy food like
jack-o-lantern pizzas, fruit and vege platters, chips, dips and
carmel apples, the kids hardly ate anything because they
couldn't wait to get out and go
trick-or-treating. So we hurriedly finished our dinner and headed out around the neighborhood. We hit most of the houses around our 3 blocks and made out with a
pretty good haul. The kids were having the
time of their lives and Logan informed me, "this was the best day of his life!"
Some Seriously Spooky Little Trick-or-TreatersThis is our favorite Halloween house on the block. We have to drive home the long way every October to drive past "
the spooky house" as our kids call it. They decorate to the extreme with something in every window, including fog, lights, a
Bates Motel sign, and a
full on cemetery in their front yard. They are my
Halloween heroes.
A wiped out Logan takes a break after a long night's work. Check out that smile and very full pumpkin. : )
